What's In Our Art Box?

We use a sketch book for our art journal so most of the supplies we use are "dry". Here is a list of the great supplies my kids love to use:

--50-pack of Crayola fine-tip markers
--Crayola Color Sticks (hexagon-shaped woodless colored pencils)--These are great because they don't have to be sharpened. You can use them on their side to color wider spaces and on the corner for finer coloring.
--Crayola Twistables Slick Stix--LOVE these! They are like oil pastels in texture. But you don't have to get your hands all messy. They just twist out to become longer.
--Elmer's Glue-All--I find that Glue-All adheres better than Elmer's School Glue
--Glue Sticks
--Scissors
--Rulers
--Pencils
--Big Erasers

New to the box this year:
--Mini-Stampers from Lakeshore Learning
--Do*A*Dot Art Pens--The girls were pretty excited about seeing these in the box this year. They have both used them at school and friends' houses.
--Mr. Sketch Smelly Markers
--Water Color Pencils--I bought some of these on a whim this year. They were on clearance at Michael's. I thought this would be a nice way to get a painted effect without a lot of wet paint. I taught the girls to dip their finger in a small bowl of water and rub the excess off on the rim. This technique worked great. I think these are going to be a big hit this summer.
